    Hooke Park bar

During my stay for the Design and Make Workshop at Hooke Park, I collaborated with Matt Jamienson (UK) on a project to design and construct a beverage sales space for an event welcoming new students to the Architectural Association. Our task was to reimagine an existing structure and build the bar counter.

Given the short duration of use and the available resources, we decided to stack wood in a manner similar to a lumber drying rack to form the boundary and support for the bar. This approach was both functional and resource-efficient. We manually moved large logs, stacked them, and compressed them with ratchet straps. Once the event concluded, the wood could be easily transported and stored in its original condition, ensuring minimal waste and effort.
