- Snow shelter
This project explores the creation of vernacular snow architectures under specific conditions. Dark matter acts as a protective, insulating layer, enabling snow to accumulate and form distinct triangular piles on denser surfaces. Inspired by avalanches, the project employs devices to enhance these natural formations.
Key interventions:
_Accumulation: Embedding sticks to facilitate snow sedimentation.
_Containment: Using flexible meshes to retain avalanche snow.
_Excavation: Creating interior spaces within snow accumulations through natural actions.
The proposal synchronizes architectural and natural processes, allowing the shelter to disappear as the snow melts, emphasizing its ephemeral nature.
